Designed to assess how well children use their knowledge of the components of language as they engage in functional discourse, TNL: Test of Narrative Language is an easy-to-administer test. Use it to (1) identify language impairments, (2) measure the ability to answer literal and inferential comprehension questions, (3) measure how well children use language in narrative discourse and (4) serve as a natural complement to other standardized tests.
Normed on 1059 children from 20 states, it features three narrative formats:
- No Picture cues
- Sequence Picture cues
- Single Picture cues
