Read&Write 4 GOLD is a literacy support software designed to help individuals ages 7 and older overcome reading and writing difficulties.

The easy-to-use, customizable toolbar “floats” on your computer screen, or docks to a locked position, offering help as you work. It highlights and reads text aloud using natural-sounding male or female voices, and also includes a comprehensive set of support tools for reading, writing, studying, research and test-taking.

The customizable floating toolbar works alongside many Apple Macintosh applications, including Microsoft Word® for Mac 2008, Apple® Safari® and Adobe® Reader, and provides even more support for the variety of learning styles found in today’s classrooms.

Screenshot Reader
Users can access text that was previously unreadable - including text embedded within an image or contained within inaccessible Flash – and have the text read aloud with dual color highlighting. Users can also export the text selected with Screenshot Reader directly to Microsoft© Word.

Screen Masking
Users can tint the screen using any number of colors, like an overlay and mask the screen. This feature is helpful to users who have trouble focusing on the screen by masking out with color parts of the screen. Masking types include full screen tinting, mouse underlining, and mouse spotlight options.

Scanning:
Users can now scan directly from a PDF file into Word, HTML, PDF or Read&Write GOLD.
