Great addition to any classroom or counseling program!
The Kimochis Educators Toolkit is a great addition to any classroom or counseling program! The program is great for teaching important life skills to children, such as social-emotional skills, communication skills, and character education, as well as to help them work through difficult issues such as death and divorce. Children are able to easily identify with the characters (they're also soft and cuddly to hold!), and the feeling pillows are a tangible way to help children identify and discuss a wide variety of feelings and emotions. The Kimochis Feel Guide: Teacher's Edition is a also a very valuable resource. In addition to many ready-made lessons on a wide variety of topics, the Feel Guide is chock full very useful information. One of my favorite parts is the great list of "Literature for Teaching Emotions" included in the Appendix. The Kimochis Educators Tool Kit is a counselor's dream and I would recommend it to any counselor, educator, or professional that works with children!

fun learning in kindergarten!
We used kimochis in all of our general education kindergarten classes to help teach basic social skills and emotional literacy concepts. Not only did the kids love it, but teachers did too! It was wonderful for children to learn that emotions do not come in only happy, mad or sad! There's a whole rainbow between!

fun learining in kindergarten!
We used Kimochis in all of our kindergarten classes to help kids learn social and emotional literacy! The kids and teachers loved it, and we noticed them resolving conflicts with their newly acquired communication skills! It's so nice for children to learn that feelings don't only come in the shades of happy, sad or mad! There's a wealth of colors in between, and Kimochis helped them learn that!

love it!
I've used the Kimochis program with general ed students (1st grade), and students who qualify for special ed services (grade 3-5). I saw growth in both identifying personal feelings as well as awareness of others. It was a nonthreatening medium through which I was able to address perspective taking with my students with ASD. I saw fantastic growth in my students! I would highly recommend Kimochis!

I've used the Kimochis program with general ed students (1st grade), as well as a small group of students who qualify for special ed services (grade 3-5) and found it very useful for directly teaching students how to identify their own feelings, as well as feelings of others. I've seen some of my students with ASD open up in ways I never expected through discussions about feelings, and considerations/awareness of feelings of others. It's a great non threatening medium to explore feelings. I would strongly recommend it!

Awesome product!
This kit is really great for all elementary students. I have a small class of mild-moderate special ed students that are language delayed and Autistic 3rd and 4th graders. We really enjoyed the lessons and using the Kimochi puppets. My students have learned skills to get along with others and are showing they can retain what they learned.
I would highly recommend this product to other teachers who need something to help their students learn to get along.
Thanks so much and I look forward to using Kimochis again next year.

An excellent resource for educators and counselors!
The Kimochis Educator's Tool Kit has been an excellent addition to my counseling program! I have used the kit with individual students, as well as in small group counseling covering topics such as social skills training, grief counseling, conflict resolution, character education and anger management. The students have really connected with the characters (which are super soft and fun to hold!), and the feeling pillows have also helped my students to explore and identify a variety of different emotions in a tangible way! Kimochis have also been beneficial for beginning conversations and discussing difficult topics such as death and divorce. The Feel Guide Teacher's Edition is packed with useful information and great activites and lesson ideas. One of my favorite parts is the "Literature for Teaching Emotions", which includes an excellent list of books on a variety of topics. The Kimochis kit has been a counselor's dream, and I would definitely recommend adding Kimochis to every counselor's office and teacher's classroom!

Great tool for emotional literacy
I have been using the Kimochis in my kindergarten class for about 8 months now, and I couldn't be more pleased with them. They are appealing and developmentally appropriate and you can use them to talk about big scary emotions with kids of all ages. The manual is very dense and can be daunting, but there wonderful color photos, cute backgrounds on each character, and a good index in the back to look up a way to use Kimochis tailored to your specific curriculum. I love the lessons that I have done from the book, and enjoy making up lessons of my own. Even just letting the kids play with the dolls and feelings is a meaningful activity. My students are using complex emotional vocabulary and independent problem solving - at 5 and 6 years old. The educator's forum is another great tool, definitely check out the website if you get the kit, lots of good ideas on there too!
