Poor quality
I also had bad luck with the Hot Dots pen. The HotDots materials are no fun without the pen. I called the company and attempted to get a refund as the pen never worked but they would not do anything. Save your money. Company should be willing to stand by its product

Pen broke while putting in the batteries, so I never was able to use it. Sounds like a great idea, but made of poor quality.
